Our work is simple to measure: how many children we support, what we provide every day, and how that support helps them move towards education, employment and greater independence.

What we provide

What every child receives

About 25 orphaned, blind and disabled children live at the home in Safilguda. Every one of them receives the same care, every day — completely free, with no family ever charged.

  • Shelter. A safe place to live, with everyday care and support.
  • Food. Regular meals and support with the home's grocery needs.
  • Education. Schooling, tuition, computer training and Braille books where needed.
  • Medical care. Medical support and access to medical camps as required.

The children who grew up here

Whatever their disability or background, the children here grow up to succeed — with the education, care and confidence Mathru gives them. Seven have completed their education and now hold steady jobs.
